So, the wig styling went well, and now not so much. The ringlets in the back of the style went really well. I changed it up slightly, since I wanted a looser more ringlet look, instead of a bunch of fat sausage curls. I really like how it turned out.
But the rest of it isn't going so well. It said to tease the top and sides, up 2" on top and 4" on the sides. Then, in 1" sections, roll curls that just "stand" on the teased sections. But nothing is said about hairspraying them so they stay. Nor about how they are supposed to "stand" on the sides and back instead of unrolling themselves. Nor how you're supposed to section off 1" pieces after you've turned the roots into a matted mass. *sigh* I'm good at pinning, but there's no way I can pin these neatly and invisibly.
I've brushed out a good part of the teasing on the front, so I'll give it a try again later. But I'm starting to think more seriously about trimming off length so there's not as much weight on those curls. And/or then actually curling it with boiling water instead of relying on teasing and the wig's own curl.
Thoughts?
