Free Read!

In other news, the first Tommy & Tuppence book by Agatha Christie is now available to read for free on Project Gutenberg. Besides being a fun spy-type story set right after World War I, it's worth it just for the awesome dialogue. Yay!

It's the second Christie to be on there; the first is Styles. IIIRC both were her first books, published no later than 1922, 90 years ago. I believe they are considered public domain in the U.S.

They're both so different, I can't pick between. Partners in Crime sometimes edges out Secret Adversary for me, though. And I love Secret of Chimneys and Seven Dials.

I might well read it. Somehow or another I've never gotten around to reading the Tommy and Tuppence books, which is weird, because I'm nearly positive I've read all of her other mysteries.

I enjoyed this one immensely when I read it many years ago. I haven't been able to really get into most of Christie's books, but this one clicked with me. :-D

YAY! I <3 Tommy and Tuppence in general, and The Secret Adversary is just so much fun. (Of course, having grown up with my mental image of them being James Warwick and Francesca Annis doesn't hurt, either....)
