Remember this?  16°F temperature drop in 1 hour by the clock.  Well, we've just blown through that.

Yep, that's 21 degrees in 1 hour, from 11 AM to noon.  Yikes!!!

Not only that, but after a night that barely hit 67°, with gentle south/eastern winds, we've gone to cold north winds gusting above 30 mph and cold blowing rain.  What a yucky day! Naturally, it's my busy day - work, then chiropractor, then dinner, then voice lesson, then choir rehearsal, then practice of two special ensemble pieces (partially via Skype) for the concert tomorrow night. *dies*  At least I dressed [mostly] practically. (I suspect I'll want my real coat instead of the trench...)

I knew it was supposed to be chilly with rain today, but I honestly did not expect anything this abrupt or extreme. Wow!

I know! I did bring a jacket but not heavy enough.

The weather this year has just been so bizarre. Up here in Michigan, it's basically officially spring. Yesterday it was 65, the crocus are blooming. It's a little cooler today, but it's still much warmer than it would typically be.

It really has. This is kind of par for "spring" - we had a quite mild February, mostly 60s and 70s, and that's usually followed by a cooler March. Of course the trees have been budding for a couple of weeks.

And, funnily enough, we've got surprise! snow today, just in time to get all the crocus. I was concerned that I wasn't going to get my community garden plot until May, but at this rate, maybe things really won't be free of frost until then.

Brrr! Can you keep a spare shawl/sweater at work, for just such occasions?

I do, actually, but more in defense from the air conditioning than for sudden weather changes!

Yeah, crazy! I'm really glad I checked the forecast before leaving this morning. Mike was about to dress E in shorts!

Wow, that would have been bad! From my office window I did see a woman walking to her car - in a very short-sleeved silky blouse. There's someone who never checked the forecast!
