The Moment of Truth
1 February 2013 08:53 pmPeople, be gentle with me. This is one of the most impulsive things I've done. (Exciting life, no?) I really do not want to regret it. But it is a big change. WAY bigger than I had in mind.
So if you like it, please say so! I could really use reassurance. If you don't, that's okay, but please find something good? If you can? :} I'm stuck with it for a few months anyway!
Curled, with big-ish (1.5"?) hot rollers, brushed out.

"Yikes!" face

Left side.

Same, with sides pulled up just to see what it does. I've never been able to tolerate my hair over my ears/touching my cheeks for very long.

The right side, for good measure.
What do you think?!
I think I like how it looks. I think I like it a lot. But I do not yet know if I like it more than the way it's been before, without a lot of extra length in the back.
It's a Catch-22: In all my other tried-to-be vintage haircuts, I've tried to keep the back fairly long, even as the front/sides inched shorter. And probably as a result, I've always had some straggly curls/locks hanging down below the rest of my hair when it's curled.
Now the back is a lot shorter, still a U-shape, but not that much shorter. So there's really not much of a side/back difference anymore. I can't tell if it's TOO short, or if it's just right. Ack!
It's definitely time to try pin curls, though. It's always been too long to succeed.
