My new arrived today! With Friday off work, I should have a nice new styled wig for the Georgian picnic.

I'm still undecided on what to wear. The weather is similar to last year, though it may be sunny. The red polonaise would be fun, and probably not any colder than the pink wool dress that I wore last year. I'll be wearing the blue cloak and Taylor bonnet and fur muff again. And probably fleece-lined tights. ;)

I dug out the mitts that I began last year, using the Larkin & Smith pattern. They should be done in time, which will help a lot with the 18th century "Winter" look.  They're off white light wool flannel, with point facing and embroidery in light blue silk.

I'm a bit disgruntled, though, because I just spent 30 minutes looking for the sponge brushes so I can make buckles for my wig. I bought a pack of four back in July and I have NO idea where they've ended up. I would have liked to get the buckles out of the way tonight. They're messy and kind of tedious, and have to dry so they're not a day-of thing. Hmph.

Oh, well. I can sew the wig form and put in some clips, and do the initial brush-out of the wig. And do a lot more on the mitts, too. I can stop at Joann for more brushes on the way to choir or something tomorrow.

Still. Hmph!
